UK small businesses need never miss another business call with Cloud Net CLASS Live answering service
24 May 2010. Cloud Net today announced a further extension to its growing business telephone services portfolio: the Cloud Net Live Answering System (CLASS).
CLASS is a live telephone answering service and can be used to complement Cloud Net's full business VoIP system or used independently.
Staffed by professionally trained UK based operators, CLASS allows businesses of all sizes to ensure that calls are picked up professionally and messages passed on immediately.
Small companies and freelance consultants are encouraged to submit information about their company to ensure that operators understand the business. CLASS users work with Cloud Net to determine how callers are greeted and what message they give if the business owner is unavailable. The operators can also be primed with a list of frequently asked questions or steer callers to your website. After taking the call, the operators pass on detailed messages to ensure that the caller receives the help or information they were looking for.
Benefits of CLASS include:
• Free subscription
• Free set-up
• No minimum charge
• Service available 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday
• UK based operators
• Low pay-as-you-go pricing
• Just £1 per minute, which is billed per second
• Messages via email and text
• No call diversion charges for Cloud Net Connect users.
The new service is perfect for small companies that may receive calls during the day while the team is busy working on other matters.
Charles Chance, MD of Cloud Net says of the service: "This was a service suggested and requested by our clients who at times were unable to cope with the amount of enquires they are generating. Our customers have found it ideal for coping with temporary increases in call volume, during marketing campaigns for example, without the need to employ an additional member of staff to sit at a desk all day to take calls. Our users only pay for the time spent actually answering calls, not the time in between calls"
Additionally, we understand that companies may want help at certain times, so have ensured that there is no set-up fee and users can benefit from the convenience of an answering service immediately."
David Hill, Chairman of Cloud Net added: "CLASS is a great way to manage customer service since callers will have the opportunity to speak to someone straight away. In addition, we believe that the system can also help to improve the perception of a company. Smaller businesses can appear larger as their phones callers won't face an engaged tone or be left in a queue. CLASS also saves on the cost of employing a receptionist to take incoming calls."

Never miss a business call again - multiple VoIP landlines and mobiles ring at the same time
Cloud Net, the business phone systems company, has introduced its advanced Multi-Ring Follow Me service, which rings a user's landline and mobile phones simultaneously until the call is picked up on whichever handset a user selects. The feature also allows teams to set up incoming calls to be received on multiple users' handsets, regardless of whether they are mobile or fixed lines.
"Unlike other many other UK VoIP providers, Cloud Net owns its own network and has a dedicated developer team, so enabling us to listen to our customers' requirements and develop new features to improve our service offering," said David Hill, Chairman of Cloud Net.
The new Multi-Ring feature overcomes the issues with diverting desk phones to mobiles: the call will no longer ring off on the desk phone as it does with normal follow me or call divert services; the call recipient will be confident that the incoming call is professional business call, since they will be greeted with a message informing them that "follow me call" is waiting and invited to press 1 to receive the call; small business VoIP users who may not have a separate business mobile, will no longer have to remember to turn off their diverts and finally, the service helps to combat the problems of business calls diverted to mobiles which are passing through poor signal areas, by routing the call automatically to a business landline.
Existing follow me services

When call rings on mobile
| ring tone disappears on landline Ring tone carries on until answered |
Divert from mobile to landline causes infinite loop

Users can also set up an incoming number to ring multiple lines. For example, the Cloud Net system rings the main incoming landline and team members' mobiles and desk phones simultaneously. The first recipient to get to the call can then answer by picking up on any one of the phones - pressing 1 to accept the call.
"We have developed this service in response to customer feedback and the launch of services such as Vodafone Sure Signal. Our Multi-Ring service requires no investment in new hardware for our existing users. For teams, the new service ensures that even in busy periods someone will answer the call, even if that person is away from the office on their mobile," commented Charles Chance, MD of Cloud Net.
The new feature is part of Cloud Net's all inclusive monthly business phone package. Cloud Net's monthly packages start from £8.50 for an all inclusive switchboard including an IP phone and features such as voicemail, conference calling, voice recording, IVR and fax handling. Cloud Net VoIP handsets currently include a Cloud Net IP phone, Grand stream operator phone or a Siemens Cordless DECT phone.

Not for profit organisation adopts Cloud Net's internet business phone system - cuts call costs by 50%, no investment in hardware and very easy to install
4 May 2010. Breathing Space, a Walsall based charity which helps people set up their own business, has signed up to Cloud Net Connect - an internet phone system, designed for small business, charities and start ups.
"As a charity, one of our priorities is keeping overheads low", explains Glennys Davis, General Manager, Breathing Space. "The Cloud Net system is internet-based so no switchboard hardware is required and there are no hefty set-up costs whereas upgrading our existing system would have cost over £1,000. We now have professional switchboard functionality, free plug-and-play VoIP handsets and low-cost calls."
For a fixed monthly fee of £8.50 per handset, Cloud Net Connect provides Breathing Space with free internet phones and an internet-based switchboard providing functionality such as call forwarding, voicemail and conference calls. The subscription also includes unlimited free calls within the Cloud Net network and low-cost local, mobile and international calls. Calls are charged by the second rather than rounded up to the nearest minute like most telecoms suppliers.
"Installation of the Cloud Net VoIP phones was really simple as they just plugged into our network router, which is much more convenient than our old PBX switchboard where we had countless connections coming up through the floor," commented Glennys. "The whole process only took 30 minutes and we didn't lose precious time on booking and managing installation engineers."
Breathing Space liked the system so much that it recommended it to one of its business partners, Bringing Enterprise to Life, a training company specialising in courses for start-ups and business management. After implementing the Cloud Net Connect system, both organisations can now take advantage of free calls to each other.
"We are delighted with the Cloud Net system for its ease of use and simplicity of installation," adds Glennys. "We have also benefitted from a 50% reduction in call costs through per-second billing."
